"La Vague des Vins – Terroirs et Tradition" - Wine &food tasting
On this summer Sunday, the village of Antey-Saint-André becomes a perfect location to taste the wines of the Aosta Valley produced with natural method and other local food specialties.
An ideal day to spend together with local producers, an experience in which wine tasting is combined with theatre and music and with the discovery of the traditions of this region with an ancient winemaking vocation.
La Vague des vins is a showcase for tasting local wines, artisanal made and free of additives. The vignerons do not omit any detail regarding the wine making process, starting from cultivation and arriving at bottling, passing through winemaking:
- cultivation practices respect the principles of organic or biodynamic agriculture.
- the harvest is manual
- the vinification is carried out exclusively with indigenous yeasts
- no changes are voluntarily made to the original constitution of the grapes, therefore no oenological techniques such as selective yeasts, reverse osmosis, cross-flow filtration, rapid pasteurization, thermo-vinification, cryopreservation, etc. are used.
- no production factor is added (or subtracted), with the sole exception of sulfur dioxide
