La Magdeleine ski resort
A delightfully peaceful, typical little village, lying on the orographical left of the Matterhorn Valley, surrounded by forests, La Magdeleine (1654 m) offers skiers 1 km of downhill runs (one of which has programmed snow cover), served by two magic carpets suitable for beginners and children, as well as one cross-country skiing track and a number of hiking trails. For children (and indeed adults) who just want to have some fun, there is also a fantastic Snow Park, with inflatable attractions and snow tubes. Also unmissable are the classic ski mountaineering routes (Monte Zerbion and the Portola Pass) and snow-shoe trails (along which nature guides can accompany you if you wish), which run along walking routes that are also very popular in the summer.
