Every year the oven of the village of Dolonne comes alive giving life to the Feast of Bread. In the small and charming hamlet of Courmayeur the scent of bread spreads and people flock to get to know the typical products of the town. Tourists and residents are invited to taste and buy black bread and greichen (a typical sweet bread made with eggs and raisins), as well as other Aosta Valley products such as lard and Fontina.

The oven, located just behind the pretty Dolonne chapel, was built by the villagers and once used by those entitled to make bread throughout the year. Every year the village committee works hard to offer the visitor its best product.
