Cave du Vin Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle

Founded in 1983, to revive the abandoned vineyards on the slopes of the Mont Blanc and to perpetuate the centuries old tradition of the area, the ‘Cave’ gathers the grapes from the municipalities of Morgex and La Salle and produces, among others, one of the highest cultivated white wines in Europe.

Products

Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin wines, in the versions: still, classic spumante method and late harvest).

The shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Closed on Sundays.

Visit

The winery can be visited all year round, except during September and October, upon reservation to be made by e-mail, or telephone (contact: Nicola Del Negro or Stéphanie Grange) at least one day in advance.

The visit includes a tour of the wine cellar and, upon request and weather depending, the vineyards.

Cost of the visit per person with tasting: € 8.00 (visit to the Vineyard, the cellar and tasting); € 6.00 (visit to the cellar and tasting).

Number of visitors per visit: min 10 / max 50

Languages spoken: Italian, French and a little English.

How to get there

From Aosta (both from the motorway and the motorway): after the traffic lights at the entrance to the municipality of Morgex, the ‘Cave’ is immediately after the level crossing on the right.

From Pré-Saint-Didier: after the roundabout with the grapevine, head towards Aosta, the ‘Cave’ is immediately after the level crossing on the left.
