Organ Concerts Festival

The Festival presents a sacred musical repertoire, exalting all the particular aspects of sacred music. 10 concerts have been organised in various charming locations of the region.

The underlying theme of the festival is “spirituality“.

There is no doubt that the Aosta Valley and its mountains possess intrinsic vocations to host events linked to the theme of spirituality in general. For centuries, its history took place on the routes of great pilgrimages which since the Middle Ages have featured in the world of faith, mysticism and sacredness.

The organ, an instrument mainly found in churches and in places of worship as well as having a repertoire of mainly sacred character, is the soul of the Festival.

For its peculiarities and its phonic potential, the historic organ of the Cathedral remains the ideal instrument of soloist concerts. There are many other organs, smaller in size, located in various other churches of the Aosta Valley, to which other events will be dedicated, in combination with other instruments and/or voices.
