Aosta - Pila

Pila dominates the town of Aosta, with which it is connected by an 18 km-long panoramic road accessible at all times and by a telecabin that allows skiers to leave the car behind and get to the ski runs in just 18 minutes. A fully skis-on resort, Pila grants skiers direct access to the ski-lift facilities from all hotels and residence complexes.
The 70 km of ski runs (22 of which are covered by scheduled artificial snowing) range from an altitude of 1,800 m up to 2,750 m in Couis, affording guests a breathtaking 360° view ranging from the Mont Blanc to the Grand-Combin, from Mount Cervino to Monte Rosa. 12 ski-lift facilities for an overall carrying capacity of 18,900 people per hour grant access to an extremely varied resort, making it possible to cater to the needs of novices as well as of the more expert skiers. Pila also boasts a timed slalom run, with a standard launch spot, gates and
arrival photocell, whereas the owl, the fox, the squirrel and the rabbit indicate the presence of areas dedicated to the Kids'Adventures all along the runs: jumps, bumps and humps to test the skills of the youngest skiers in complete safety. Pila is also especially popular among snowboarders, both hard & soft, who will find here wide natural or flattened runs, smooth or with humps, with off-piste stretches in the middle of woods for zigzaging and jumping over natural obstances, without forgetting the snowpark, featuring a very popular half-pipe. The resort offers over 180
instructors from the two ski schools (Pila Ski School and Aosta SkiSnowboard), specialising in these sports, dedicate themselves in a friendly and competent way to those who want to improve on their style. For children from age 4, a teaching run animated with coloured games and equipped with a moving belt make it possible to make their first attempts at skiing.
