Torgnon

Extensive tracks alongside enchanting, diverse panoramas
Torgnon's cross-country slopes extend in two directions: towards mid Valtournenche (Grandes Montagnes) and southward, towards Col des Bornes (Maisonnettes). The Grandes Montagnes slope climbs with decision, from the training slope, towards the off-track ski slopes, crosses them and then follows the western slope of Valtournenche. The route alternates long, flat sections with short moderate ascents or descents passing next to certain characteristic
clusters of chalets before crossing suggestive larch forests. The panorama is dominated by the splendid Roisette mountain chain and by the pyramidal Grand Tournalin, extending as far a Zerbion. The slope becomes increasingly difficult towards its terminal tract. The Maisonnettes Slope  extends through a dense conifer forest. The first part (3 km circuit), extends around a training slope, stretching out towards the lower tract of the off-track ski slopes, with beautiful
descents over open slopes, with open views over  Mount Tantané. The 7.5 km circuit climbs towards Col des Bornes and the slopes of the municipality of Verrayes, reaching its border with the Dora Baltea valley and allowing cross-country skiers to admire splendid, ample panoramas over the central valley.
