Summer skiing

Ski right into the summer on the Plateau Rosa, at the foot of the Cervino

Tired of the same beach and the same sea every summer? ... then why not make a change ! There are places where skiing time is all the time, where there are no longer any in-between seasons or, perhaps, they never existed. The glacier of Plateau Rosa is oneof these places. We are talking about a vast, splendid natural terrace overlooking Cervinia, at an altitude of over 3,000 metres. The already lengthy winter skiing season on the

slopes of the Cervinia ski resort (from November well into April, May in the “generous seasons”) is now even longer with the possibility of skiing in summer, therefore extending skiingto throughout the entire year. Enthusiastic skiers will be able to enjoy a very unusual landscape in the middle of August, on perfectly prepared slopes , perhapswith a light sprinkling of fresh snow, which is not unusual at these altitudes, on certain

summer days. These slopes are not reserved for “professionals”: they are open to all skiers. The Cervino Ski School has a permanent office on Plateau Rosa, at an altitude of 3,480 metres, where you can contact your instructor directly for all types of lessons.
