Bobs can be “ for two” or “for four” and for amateurs bobs can also have an "indefinite number" of people. It is a very emotion sport and and activity that requires a discrete amount of courage. Professional bob and sledge athletes can race through certain sections of descents at over 100 km per hour ! Even watching or following a bob competition on TV can make you feel a strong sense of emotioni. Sledges

were created as a means of transport (first testimonies of its diffusion date back to the VIII - IX century A.D.); conceived in Northern Europe, the standardised equipment is used for fun. To practice these disciplines at amateur level all you need is a gentle slope. In general, the land is private and you risk having some uncomfortable altercations, so it is better to go to

a snow-park, which are specifically equipped areas where you can slide in the snow with more uneven means and enjoy yourself in even the most unusual ways. Saint-Oyen, in the Gran San Bernardo Valley, hosts a sledge piste that is certified at national level.
