Previews of the Cultural Season - Il barbiere di Siviglia / The Barber of Seville

Gioachino Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia, staged by one of the most internationally acclaimed opera directors, Damiano Michieletto.

A sweeping, colourful and lively comedy of misunderstandings, with an original, modern staging faithful to Rossini's comic spirit. Set in Seville, the opera recounts the adventures of Count Almaviva who, with the help of the barber Figaro, attempts to win the love of the young Rosina, betrothed to her guardian Don Bartolo. With disguises, intrigues, night-time serenades and twists and turns, The Barber of Seville remains one of the most brilliant and beloved operas of all time. Rossini intertwines musical virtuosity and theatrical comedy, offering a sparkling score, hilarious misunderstandings and famous songs.

There will be two performances, on Friday 24^th October 2025 at 8.30 pm and an afternoon repeat on Sunday 26^th October 2025 at 3 pm, at the Teatro Splendor in Aosta.

Tickets are on sale starting from Wednesday 24 September 2025 from 1.30 pm online on the WEBTIC.IT website and at the Saison Culturelle sales point at the Regional Archaeological Museum (from Monday to Saturday from 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm - closed on Sundays and public holidays)
