Méttelteil: at the discovery of ancient villages between Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Gressoney-La-Trinité
This circular walk in the heart of the so-called “Méttelteil, which is the stretch of valley between Gressoney-Saint-Jean and Gressoney-La-Trinité, provides superb views of Monte Rosa and it is characterized by beautiful little Walser villages. After starting from Tschemenoal, the path leads up to Alpenzu Grande. During the ascent we can admire some monumental larches. The walk continues then as far as Alpenzu Piccolo, from where it is possible to walk down to Gressoney-La-Trinité, before returning to the starting point along a path on the left side of Torrent Lys.
