Modon d’Or - National Contest of Fontina cheese
The Modon d’Or is the National Contest of Fontina cheese produced in summer in mountain pastures. The contest is aimed at enhancing this typical product of the Aosta Valley by rewarding the best Fontina DOP. This year, following an agreement between the Aosta Valley and Langhe regions, the Fontina DOP cheese will meet the Alba truffle in a marriage of gastronomic excellences from Aosta Valley and Piedmont.
