Monterosa Ski - Antagnod Ski Resort
Monterosa Ski links three alpine valleys into a single ski area, in the sight of the Monte Rosa massif, between the Valle d’Aosta and Piemonte regions. It has always been popular with the most demanding skiers thanks to the carefully maintained runs and the superb technological standards of the lifts. 180 kilometres of runs and 6 alpine towns and villages (Antagnod, Alagna, Brusson, Champoluc-Frachey, Gressoney-La-Trinité, Gressoney-Saint-Jean) that can be accessed with just one ticket and that link the valleys, equipped with 400 artificial snow cover points, thus offering skiers around 170 km of runs even when snow is scarce.
Skiers can choose to cover the whole area in a day, starting out from Champoluc and Frachey in the Ayas Valley and skiing through Gressoney-La-Trinité on to Alagna in the Valsesia, but for those who prefer to stick to just one part of the ski area at a time, Antagnod, Brusson and Gressoney-Saint-Jean are local ski resorts that can easily be reached using the convenient shuttle and bus services.
Antagnod is one of the most characteristic resorts visitors to the Monterosa Ski area will find. It is ideal for families, with special facilities for children, and is also popular with those looking for a tan, because it receives plenty of sunshine. Two modern chairlifts serve 18 km of spacious, accesible runs that slope gently downwards.
The Antagnod area is linked to the rest of the runs in the area by a 10 minute ski bus service.
