Piero’s family cultivates the Prié Blanc grape heroically and with great passion at altitudes that can reach 1,200 metres. His wife Rosina, his two daughters Ilaria and Monica, his son-in-law Marco and his 3 grandchildren Marcel, Iris and Axel collaborate in the processing of the vineyards with traditional methods but also with the help of high-tech machinery.

Cave Mont Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle
Wine - MorgexCave Mont Blanc was founded in 1983 thanks to the forward-thinking vision of a group of winegrowers from the Aosta Valley who, as guardians of the ancient tradition of collaboration in Alpine villages, decided to bring together individual winegrowers in a cooperative, with the aim of optimising resources and promoting a morphologically unique terroir. Today, the cooperative brings together 70 families of mountain winegrowers who cultivate Prié Blanc in the terroirs of Morgex and La Salle, whose pergolas heroically extend over 18 hectares of vineyards located at the foot of Mont Blanc, between 900 and 1,200 metres above sea level, an altitude that places them among the highest in Europe.
Vallée d’Aoste D.O.C. (Controlled Designation of Origin) Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle is produced exclusively from Prié Blanc, a native white grape variety from the Aosta Valley grown on ungrafted vines, naturally selected over the centuries. Its characteristic is to complete its entire vegetative cycle in a very short period of time, due to its late budding and early ripening. Prié Blanc is grown on low pergolas to avoid damage from wind and winter frost and to take advantage of the heat from the ground. Reproduction still today takes place by means of the system of layers or viaungrafted shoots, since the grafting on American vines is not necessary. In fact, at these altitudes, the phylloxera, the terrible insect that camefrom the Americas at the end of the 19th century, cannot cause damage to the vine. The particular climatic conditions make it possible to limit pesticide treatments, obtaining a product with a high degree of genuineness.
The Skyway Monte Bianco winery
Skyway Monte Bianco and Cave Mont Blanc have been committed for years to promoting the region and heroic mountain viticulture.
In 2025, a new experimental winery was inaugurated at 2,173 metres above sea level at the Pavillon. An invitation to celebrate altitude and overcome limits, an engaging journey that tells the exceptional story of the bubbles of the “glaciers”. The winery houses a recycling wall in the centre made from around 3,000 bottles recovered after use at Skyway Monte Bianco and the artwork “lo Blanc di Blanc” by Morgex iron artist Michel Olmi, where the summit of Mont Blanc frames the vineyards and contributes to making Cave Mont Blanc wines so unique.
Mines
In Costa del Pino, at an altitude of 1,800 metres in the municipality of Cogne, the mines that for centuries were used for magnetite extraction now welcome visitors and are used for wine ageing. After an initial period in steel tanks, the wine is bottled and transported to the mine, where the darkness and constant temperature and humidity naturally ensure perfect maturation.

The family is the engine and the heart of the company and Ermes follows all the production steps that lead to the birth of the traditional Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle, classic method, aged in barrique (that was given the name of Ermes’son Nathan) and late harvest. The wine is named Ninive.

Les Granges s.s. Winery
Wine - NusOur family-run company takes its name from the village of the same name located on the hill of Nus, at the adrèt, the sunny side of Valle d’Aosta. Liana and Gualtiero started this adventure and their children Edoardo and Beatrice joined them over time.
The company’s land extends for 3 hectares and makes it possible to produce 14.000 bottles of different varieties of fine wines.
Its location directly exposed to the sun, in fact, allows it to obtain a production of high-quality grapes, with an inebriating aroma and high sugar content. The hill of Nus is traditionally suited to viticulture; the temperature range favors the production of aromas and natural acidity in the wine, in addition to the strong exposure that favors aging. During the Middle Ages, the local producers supplied wine grapes to the canons of the Great Saint Bernard, as attested by the documents of the time.
The beginning of the activity took place in 1991 with the cultivation of old family vineyards, exploited mostly as a passion and so as not to let the crops planted with difficulty by their ancestors fall into neglect. Only later, with the expansion of the cultivated area, did the business turn professional, focusing in particular on the recovery and enhancement of the ancient local vines.
Initially the grapes were given to a cooperative; since 2005, with the creation of a modern and well-equipped winery, the production of wine has been carried out directly on the company premises. The vines grown are Vien de Nus, Cornalin, Pinot nero and grigio, Fumin, Mayolet, Vullermin, Ner d’Ala and Petit Rouge, varieties that have been present in the area for centuries and deserve to be again, and adequately, enhanced. Nus Malvoisie, Nus Malvoisie Flétri, Nus, Cornalin, Fumin and Pinot Noir are produced with these grapes.
The processing in the winery is reduced to a minimum, the fermentationis spontaneous and derives from the local yeasts of the grapes; apart from a minimum dose of sulfur, there are no other additives, and no filtrations or clarifications are carried out.
The products
White DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) wines: Nus Malvoisie DOC, Vin Rosè “La Rose Rare”

Château Vieux Winery
Wine - Pont-Saint-MartinChâteau Vieux is a winery in Pont-Saint-Martin managed by two young cousins of the same age, Sara and Marco, who define themselves as being united just like siblings. After completing their studies, which had nothing to do with the world of agriculture, in 2019 they decided to establish the winery, and they gave it the name that their great-grandfather, Alessandro Manganone, used to refer to the “homemade wine”, which is precisely Château Vieux.
Therefore, they merged their grandparents’ vineyards and obtained 7,000 square meters which they have worked with great passion and tenacity; then in 2021, they renovated the old family winery by adapting it to all the needs of a productive winery and also managing to obtain a “crotta” devoted only to ageing in wood.
As of now, with the help of family members united by a passion for wine-growing, they manage about 3 hectares of vineyards.
