Passing below Castel Savoia, move on to the centre of Gressoney-Saint-Jean and continue on towards the Alpenzù mountain hut (1779 m). Continue along the path that goes up to the Pinter Pass (2776 m) and go back down to Cunéaz (2062 m) and Crest, where you will find the Vieux Crest mountain hut (1952 m). After reaching Charchérioz, continue towards the Ferraro and Guide Frachey mountain huts (2086 m). Go down towards the valley bottom until you reach the village of Saint-Jacques (1697 m), continue on towards the Grand Tournalin mountain hut (2535 m) and from there on towards the Nannaz Pass (2772 m). Go down into the basin and back up to the Fontaines Pass (2695 m). The path goes down to Cheneil (2097 m) and takes you to the village of Crétaz (1515 m).
