The Vieux Crest refuge is situated at 1932 metres altitude on the slope which leads down to Champoluc. It is a hamlet characterized by a particularly spectacular view of the underlying valley.
The refuge offers a very intimate and characteristic environment, with a delicious typical menu.
This hamlet can be reached in two minutes from the village of Frantzé below, or in the same amount of time from the arrival point of the Crest Moreleté cableway behind.
The Vieux Crest has numerous well restored structures, which often accommodate holiday makers during the summer. There is also an antique village oven, as you go into the town. It is a very peaceful place; the Vieux Crest refuge can also be found there, reachable via the small shady road amongst the rascard.
