It’s almost your last chance to reach Punta Helbronner with the current Funivia del Monte Bianco cableway, because 10 April 2012 will see the closure of the stretch that links the Torino mountain hut with Punta Helbronner. From then until 2015, work will be carried out on the stretch that will culminate in the inauguration of a spectacular new cableway system which will replace the present one.

So from April 2012 to 2015 it will no longer be possible to reach Punta Helbronner by cableway. The cableway will go as far as the current station at the Torino mountain hut and from there, during the summer, visitors may continue on foot along a high-mountain path known as “Sentiero dei Giganti”, offering spectacular views and accessible to all, in order to reach the terrace of the new Torino mountain hut.
