Reachable in approximately 90 minutes from the bottom of the Val di Rhêmes, the Benevolo Refuge is also a stopping point along Alta Via (High Route) n°4. Its picturesque position makes it an excellent starting point for excursions and climbs in the National Park.
During the spring it is an ideal place to downhill ski. The refuge offers national dishes and typical Valle d'Aosta cuisine in the summer.

Aosta Ovest-Aymavilles motorway exit. At the motorway exit go straight on towards Aosta until you reach the traffic light: turn left here and carry on along strada statale (main road) 26 towards Mont Blanc going past Sarre castle on your right and past the town of Saint-Pierre.
Keep going straight on along the main road and you will arrive at Villeneuve. Having gone past the town continue along the entire straight stretch of the strada statale (main road) up to the junction for Introd-Rhêmes-Valsavarenche, turn right and go uphill until you reach Introd. Go past the town and, when you reach the next junction, turn right towards Rhêmes and carry on uphill for approximately 5 km until you reach the centre of Rhêmes-Saint-Georges. Carry on along the main road towards Rhêmes-Notre-Dame, go past the town centre, and carry on up to the valley, where the road ends, in Thumel where you can leave your car. You can reach the refuge on foot in approximately one and a half hours.

The nearest train station is in Aosta.
