The man who whispered to the chamois – A hike in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Parc

Full day excursion

This Circular itinerary leads you to the surveillance Sort hut of the Park. Following a really panoramic trail you can also reach, making a circle, another hut situated in the Chausettaz Valley.
From Breuil you climb the Sort valley, passing through a luminous forest of larch and pine trees. Once you have reached the Sort hut (situated at 2295 metres a.s.l.), you start walking towards La Chausette, and than again towards Breuil.

Time of the excursion: circular itinerary : 4 hours
Difference in altitude: 570 metres about
Difficulty : for hikers
Participants: minimum 6, maximum 10 persons
Recommended equipment and materials: summer wear, long pants, sunglasses
In case of bad weather : participants will be contacted by phone the previous evening to choose either an alternative itinerary or to cancel the excursion
