Routenbeschreibung

More than 750 vascular plants and 170 bryophytes (mosses ) are present in the park.
The flora connected with wet areas can be found not only in lakes but also in peat soil, marshy and resurgent areas which are present in the whole protected area. In peat soil areas, among the rarest species, we can mention the Carex limosa, the Carex pauciflora and the Trichophorum alpinum”. The Drosera rotundifolia, an insectivorous plant, can also be found there, as well as a pond with bog moss floating islets. In the summer the Ranunculus aquatilis with its floating flowering can be found on some lakes. The most widespread tree of the park is the Pinus Uncinata which replaces here the most widespread conifers to be found in the rest of the region. The park hosts the most extensive pine forest of the country. The Conca della Serva forest has been classified as a seed-forest.
In close symbiosis with the roots of the Pinus Uncinata numerous mushrooms are to be found, at least 100 species of ecto-symbionts are present in the park. Serpentine flora is also present in the park and among the most interesting species we can mention the Cardamine plumieri, the Thlaspi sylvium, the Alyssum argentum and the Asplemium cuneifolium - serpentine rupicolous lichens species are over 100.
