Becca d'Aver

A beautiful full-day hike in the company of guide Alberto.

The hike starts from the cross-country ski bar, following a well-marked trail that climbs through a lovely pine forest. Along the way, we walk on a slope that often offers stunning views of the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa, up to the Col d’Aver. From there, the view opens up to an incredible landscape of the entire valley and its surrounding mountains. The summit is reached in about two hours. We then continue along a scenic traverse with unforgettable views towards Punta Longhede... Packed lunch along the way. The return route follows a parallel trail along the initial ridge. After passing the summit of Bec D’Aver, we continue in a loop to Col Feunêtre, then descend back to the cars.

At the end of the hike, don’t miss a visit to the "Torgnon d'Outon" festival of alpine fontina cheese and mountain potatoes.
