Adapting Les Misérables, a colossal work, is quite a challenge for a director. How do you bring 1,800 pages to life in 1 hour 50 minutes? How can the scenes of the barricades, the inn, the factory and Montreuil-sur-Mer be portrayed at their true value, while respecting and honouring Hugol's genius? For several years, Manon Montel has been working thoroughly to write and direct this legendary epic.
