Cinema in the Square – Sogni di Grande Nord
Kontakt
Welcome to the open air cinema, today’s film is: Sogni di Grande Nord
It tells a journey that contains many others.
There is the journey of Paolo the writer and Nicola the illustrator, who take a plane to Milan, land in Vancouver and from there, with a rented camper, head north, to Alaska.
Through the images shot during the journey and the fragments of dialogue between the two friends, Cognetti’s personal journey back emerges, to discover his roots as a writer and a man, because the places on the road recall the great masters who had a much broader value in his life than merely literary.
The burial of Ramondmond Carver; the Klondike Ofackack London; the fishy trout lakes of Ernest Hemingaa; the wild nature of Thoreau: these are the authors and places of which Cognetti collects the fruit, allowing himself to be helped by the parable of Chris McCandless of Into Theild Denali, Alaska.
