Workshop for the conservative cleaning of wooden artefacts

On the occasion of International Museum Day, the MAV offers a theoretical-practical workshop for adults to learn the techniques of cleaning and conservation maintenance of small wooden artefacts. The activity includes a visit to the museum depository to learn more about heritage conservation criteria and their cataloguing, a theoretical introduction on the intervention techniques adopted (dry and wet mechanical cleaning, anti-wormwood treatments). Finally, participants have the opportunity to try their hand at cleaning a wooden artefact. All materials needed for the conservation cleaning activity are provided by the museum. Participants can bring a small object from home to be treated.
