Opera Echoes
The Franzetti organ built in 1856 preserved in the church of St. Nicholas makes it possible, thanks to its special characteristics, to be able to echo the atmosphere of Italian opera even in the beautiful alpine setting of La Thuile. The Italian organ repertoire coeval with the date of construction of the instrument aims precisely at making even more usable what constantly resounded in the theaters of the time.
It is not for nothing that the character of the pieces composed at that historical moment can easily be traced back to arias, overtures typical of opera production. The concert therefore aims to dress the instrument in a fresh program tailored to enhance it mainly in its bel canto nuances.
