The hike is free, but reservation is required.
- Time and meeting place: 8.30 a.m. starting of the hike from Gaby
- Description of the itinerary. Climb on the left side of the river Niel, you walk in the shadow of the forest, crossing green high mountain pastures, until you reach as final destination the ancient Walser village of Niel. Visit to the village at the discovery of its history. Packed lunch. The descent (1hour descent) takes place on the other side of the valley with a panoramic stop in the hamlet Tchanton. Return to Gaby in the afternoon. For those who do not want to walk the way back it is also possible to organise the return transfer by car.

The Tourism office in Gaby organises a free hike at the discovery of nature and of the most interesting places of the area accompanied by a nature guide. During the hike you will cross high mountain pastures, but the final destination will be the ancient Walser village of Niel
Time of the hike: 2 hours of climbing
Height difference: 600 metres approx.
Difficulty: E (for hikers)
Number of participants: 20 persons
Recommended equipment and clothing: trekking boots, wind-proof jacket, rucksack
In case of bad weather: the excursion will be postponed to another day of the same week
