You can still go skiing in Courmayeur until April 6th, in La Thuile until April 12th, and in the upper part of the Monterosa-Ski area until April 19th. Ski lifts are open until May 3rd in Pila, while in Breuil-Cervinia the ski season continues seamlessly transitioning into summer skiing at the foot of the Matterhorn.
The ski mountaineering season also goes on, but April is also the ideal month to explore villages and castles, participate in events and hike in nature.
Challenge yourself and experience the mountain in its most authentic essence: in Valle d’Aosta skimo is more than a sport, it is a journey through silence and magnificent panoramas. Conquer the descent on the snow by climbing with your own strength. In spring, some refuges open specifically for this discipline, making each outing an adventure to remember.
