Conceived by the filmmaker Davide Bongiovanni, in collaboration with Jean-Claude Chincheré, photographer, Rossella Scalise, author of the texts, and Simone Lattanzi, assistant director, the exhibition presents an audiovisual project on the importance of oral tradition and collective memory and was conceived as a container of life stories projected in time and space.

Three stories with an exhibition that consists of three videos, accompanied by photographs and objects, which are those of:

  • Liliana Bertolo, singer, for over thirty years the voice of Trouveur Valdotèn, ethno-musicological research training in the Western Alps;
  • Dino Darensod, passionate winemaker and president of the Cave des Onzes Communes in Aymavilles;
  • Renzino Cosson, “enfant du Pays”, mountain guide, mountain photographer, and manager of the Bertone refuge.

The emotional impact is guaranteed because videos and images tell and deliver truly special life experiences and the immersive cut leads the observer to the center of these people’s lives, making them familiar.
Memorie di terra is a homage to the Aosta Valley and its people, but also a cultural project that invites us to start afresh from the authentic values of tradition and intangible culture.
