These hikes in the Mont Mars Natural Reserve are educational excursions dedicated to biodiversity.
The Mont Mars Natural Reserve, located in the municipality of Fontainemore, was created in 1933. It extends for about 390 hectares from the Pacoulla stream (1675 metres) to the top of Mont Mars (2600 metres). The different environments are typically alpine: woods, pastures, grasslands rocky walls, lakes and wetlands. The hike from Vargno lake to the Lei Long lakes leads you to the mountain hut Barma.

• The contest is aimed at raising the pubic awareness of the importance of biodiversity, protected areas, and environmental sustainability. With this aim we propose the hikes in the Mont Mars Natural Reserve that will take place every Wednesday in Fontainemore, in Maison Gargantua in the municipality of Gressan, and in the Natural Science Museum (Efisio Noussan), in the municipality of La Salle.
