An easy snowshoe excursion accompanied by the guide Gianmario. At the end of the full day excursion you will discover that without cars you can live even better.
In Chamois, the highest municipality of the Aosta Valley, a small group of bra citizens live all year away from exhaust gases.

You will see how to live sustainably in a high mountain context, you will see a wooden house built in the Middle Ages, you will see the Saint who protected caravans of wine merchants heading towards Switzerland. You will be able to listen to the silence of the forest, and to the murmur of the wind, before tasting the typical dishes of the L’Ermiitage Refuge.

Description of the itinerary: Circular itinerary of about 5 Km. Departure from the cableway, short climb along the Chamois stream, panoramic walk along the Ru des Novelles, trough the Lod wood, reaching at the end the Ermitage Refuge.

Number of participants: minimum 6, maximum 8 persons. Children can take part in the excursion, if they are used to hiking in the mountains, from 6 years.
Recommended clothing and equipment: mountain clothing, trekking boots, snowshoes and snow poles.
Other useful information :There is the possibility to have lunch at the Refuge, or alternatively, to have a packed lunch. You can find also a bazaar in the area.
In case of bad weather: the excursion will take place in any case.
