Thanks to an experiment by Dr Godwin Baxter, Bella Baxter returns strangely to life. The woman feels a deep desire to learn and escapes with Duncan, a lawyer known for his skill in the profession, but also for his debauchery. The two live an overwhelming adventure from continent to continent and Bella is increasingly determined to defend every form of inequality and emancipation.
