Easy snowshoe hike accompanied by the guide Gian Mario. A full-day excursion to discover that living without cars means living happier.
In Chamois, the highest municipality of the Aosta Valley, a small group of brave locals live all year round away from exhaust fumes.
You will learn how to live sustainably in a high mountain environment, you will visit a wooden house built in the Middle Ages, and you can see the saint who protected caravans of wine merchants heading towards Switzerland.
You will be able to listen to the murmur of the wind and the silence of the forest before sitting down to taste the delicious dishes of a restaurant near Lod Lake.
Itinerary: Circular route about 5 km. Departure from the upper cable car station, ascent along the Chamois stream. Panoramic snowshoe walk along the Rû des Novalles, the picnic area at Lod Lake, and the Lod forest.

Number of participants: minimum 4, maximum 8 persons. Children have to be accustuomed to hiking in the mountains and can participate in the excursion from the age 6.
Recommended clothing and equipment: warm mountain clothing, snowshoes, and poles.
Other useful information: possibility to have lunch at the restaurant, or alternatively a packed lunch. A bazaar is available in the locality.
In case of bad weather: the excursion will take place anyway.
