8.15am meeting with the Alpine Guide at the Courmayeur Alpine Guides Society and delivery of the material
8.45 am departure and ascent to Villair Superiore 1.330m from where you continue to reach the Bertone Refuge or transfer to Val Ferret by private or scheduled transport. Once in Planpincieux, follow the cross-country track and reach Lavachey. After a few bends, take the path in the woods on the right, before the wooden bridge, until you reach the open area in sight of the refuge.
Other useful information: Bring a packed lunch or lunch in the mountain huts during opening times. The transfer is not foreseen. The technical material will be delivered to the alpine guides office in the morning before leaving at 8am.

Bertone Refuge - from Val Sapin
Starting from Courmayeur you reach the locality of Villair Superiore and proceed to Val Sapin, from here on a somewhat steep path you reach the Bertone refuge at an altitude of 2000m.
Bonatti Refuge - Val Ferret
Valley famous for cross-country skiing, it is rediscovering hidden corners that are ideal for snowshoeing. This walk will lead you to the Bonatti refuge, initially covering a flat section and then continuing along the wood and reaching an altitude of 2025m.
- Difference in altitude: 670 m for the Bertone refuge / 445 m for the Bonatti refuge
- Difficulty: hiking. Accompaniment with an Alpine Guide is recommended.
- Number of participants: minimum 5 people, maximum 6 people (children from 9/10 years old). The organization will endeavor to complete the group of at least 5 people.
- Recommended clothing, equipment and materials: Mountain boots or trekking boots; ski clothing, hat, gloves, sunglasses, mask, sanitizing gel, poles and backpack.
- In case of bad weather? In the event that the mountain or weather conditions do not allow the planned program to be carried out, the organization will propose an alternative excursion or different dates for the same chosen program as a replacement.
If it is not possible to find an alternative date or an agreement is not found for another suitable excursion, the Courmayeur Alpine Guides Society will keep a credit that can be used for the same excursion to be spent within the following year. - Booking procedure: on the guides site, it is advisable to book at least 10/15 days before in order to complete the group, last minute bookings are accepted only by phone. Advance payment is required.
On request, the excursion can also be carried out on other days of the week.
