The magic spruce woods

Easy snowshoe excursion, through forests and alpine pastures, from Plan Prorion or Châté to Gordzà, to explore the territory of Torgnon.

In addition to discovering the Alpine environment and admiring the Aosta Valley landscapes, you will be introduced to the magical world of snow. Practical activities await you: observation with magnifying glasses, boards, and thermometers to understand the history of the snowpack and learn about its structural and stability characteristics.

You will discover the snowflake, its transformations, and observe the snowy environment with new eyes.

A fun way to learn valuable tips for practicing snowshoe hiking safely.

Elevation gain: 400 meters
Difficulty: Hiking (WT1 - Easy)
Total duration: approximately 4 hours
Useful information:

• Warm, layered clothing
• Gloves and hat
• Mountain boots (no moon boots)
• Snowshoes and poles provided if necessary
• Packed lunch to be provided by participants
