A full day snowshoe hike : to the Sanctuary of Calvalité

Wonderful excursion of medium difficulty, in a preserved and wild environment of the basin of Cheneil.

Once arrived to the small village of Cheneil, the climb continues first through the larch forest then along the slope where the Clavalite Sanctuary is situated.

You can enjoy a splendid view, admiring from there the entire Valtournenche valley , the Matterforn and  other various peaks of the Aosta Valley.

After the picnic next to the sanctuary, the return will be along the same itinerary.

Height difference: about 500 m. 
Difficulty: E  (for hikers)
Level of difficulty: intermediate (good fitness, previous snowshoeing experience)
Time of the hike : 5-6 hours
Recommended clothing, equipment and materials: Trekking boots or winter boots, windstopper jacket, snow pants, gloves, beanie, a backpack, sunglasses, sun cream, some water + snacks,  the picnic lunch. (TRANSCEIVER, PROBE AND SHOVEL won’t be provided but you must have them)
Minimum number of participants: 4 ( children from 12 up)
