After a hike, what's better than a good “polenta”? A mountain hut can be the final destination of an hike, to be celebrated by a delicious meal, or a stopping point along a trek, to be continued the following day. Some huts are at a high altitude, others easier to be reached and generally offer local cuisine. In spring they welcome ski mountaineers, but summer is the best time to fully appreciate them.
