Between Belarus and Poland, in the treacherous swampy forests, refugees find themselves trapped in a geopolitical crisis engineered by the Belarusian dictator Lukashenko. They are mostly fugitives, from the Middle East and Africa, trying to reach the European Union, attracted to the border by propaganda that promises an easy passage to the EU.

Pawns of this submerged war, intertwine the lives of Julia, a newly formed activist who has given up a comfortable existence, of Jan, a young border guard, and an entire Syrian family.
