The village of Bard is preparing to become the epicenter of the oldest contemporary art event in the world. For its 19th edition, for the 17th consecutive year, HUMAN RIGHTS?, organized by CreActivity in collaboration with AIAPI, official partner of UNESCO, organized by Roberto Ronca, brings to the village 116 works by 120 artists from 36 nations, transforming the territories into an international laboratory on them rights of the man through contemporary art. LES DROITS DE L'HOMME ? it represents an extraordinary opportunity to meet the world; the village, now famous for its history and beauty, acquires a new dimension culture here the position on the international map of contemporary art in a growing culture here enriches the local social fabric and stimulates new forms of intercultural dialogue.
During about three months, Bard will be the international center of dialogue of human rights through art.
How is this edition of HUMAN RIGHTS? poursuit sa vocation créatrice en voulant montrer non seulement la dénonciation aussi et surtout l’expoir et l’engagement sur les possibilities réelles de récupération des inégalités et des injustices sociales. The inhabitants of Bard, the tourists and all the visitors have the unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of human rights through diverse artistic languages.
Art takes shape, making complex concepts accessible through installations, paintings, sculptures, photographs, video art and more, to stimulate reflection and promote a culture of peace and tolerance.
The opening day is also an excellent opportunity to directly meet the artists here to be present on the place and with the same cities and tourists to converse and dialogue about art, culture and the joys of society.
Furthermore, in the August bank holiday weekend, FantasyBard will renew the concept of men's rights, to which this edition will be dedicated. A beautiful opportunity also for children, teenagers and adults of all ages who will be able to admire the art and creativity widespread in the village.
HUMAN RIGHTS? harmoniously integrates contemporary art with Bard's historical heritage. The dialogue between the modern works and the medieval architecture of the village creates a unique exhibition itinerary that enhances the territorial identity. HUMAN RIGHTS? in Bard, in fact, it goes far beyond the temporary event, because it leaves a permanent cultural legacy. The local community can admire their heritage revisited with new eyes and become more aware, cosmopolitan and active in the promotion of human rights and contemporary art; at the same time, tourists will encounter a new opportunity to admire contemporary art and gain profound food for thought.
