The village of Bard hosts the 19th edition of Human Rights?, the longest-running contemporary art event dedicated to human rights. With 116 works by 120 artists from 36 countries, Bard transforms into an international laboratory of intercultural dialogue. A unique opportunity to connect art, rights, and territory in a cultural melting pot.
For about three months, Bard becomes the international center for dialogue on human rights through art.
As in every edition, Human Rights? follows its creative vocation to highlight not only protest but also, and above all, hope and commitment to real possibilities of overcoming inequalities and social injustices. Residents, tourists, and visitors have the unique chance to explore human rights through a variety of artistic expressions.
Art comes alive, making complex concepts accessible through installations, painting, sculpture, photography, video art, and more, to stimulate critical thinking and promote a culture of peace and tolerance.
During the mid-August holiday weekend, FantasyBard revisits the theme of human rights, to which this edition will be dedicated. A great opportunity for children, young people, and adults of all ages to enjoy the art and creativity spread throughout the village.
