La Kiuva

Vines from 7 villages for a DOC cellar, much loved by connoisseurs
La Kiuva is located at Arnad, a small village in the lower Aosta Valley characterised by a pleasantly mild climate, that favours the growth of many types of vines. It is a winegrowers' cooperative involving wine growers from the 7 surrounding villages: Hône, Issogne, Verrès, Challand-Saint-Victor, Champdepraz, Montjovet as well asArnad itself. This is the home of Arnad-Montjovet DOC, a red wine produced from 70% Nebbiolo grapes with a dry and harmonic taste, very well known and appreciated, both in the traditional and Superior versions. La Kiuva is known to connoisseurs for its production of several Controlled Denomination of Origin (DOC) wines, such as Valle d’Aosta Merlot, Pinot Noir, Müller Thurgau, Chardonnay and Petite Arvine, which are complemented by other “highly structured” products, aged in barriques and produced from selected late-harvested grapes. Overall annual wine production reaches 70 thousand bottles, which are sold at the winegrowers' cooperative, in wine shops and in a number of authorised outlets.
La Kiuva is open to the public from Monday to Thursday, from 7.30 to 12.00 and from 13.30 to 17.00, while on Fridays it closes early at 16.00. The restaurant of the same name, with seating for 300, is located near the winegrowers' cooperative. Here you can combine wine tasting with local gastronomic delicacies.
