  • lunch at Locanda Lavésé (May 6, €25.00) and take away (May 7, €10.00)
  • overnight stay in Verrayes: from € 30 to € 55 per double room with bed and breakfast treatment
  • guided visits to cultural sites, concerts, luggage transport and shuttle: free
  • dinner on May 6th: not included

SATURDAY 6 MAY (Torgnon-Saint-Evence, Saint-Denis-Verrayes)

  • Meeting point: 8.30 am from Châtillon (Castello Gamba car park, Via Italo Mus) where you can leave your car to take the shuttle bus to Torgnon
  • Departure: 9 am from Torgnon (stage start)
  • Cultural visits along the way: Chapel of Saint-Evance and concert Choir G
  • Lunch: 1 pm at Locanda Lavesé (€ 25.00)
  • Arrival: 4.30 pm Arboretum Abbé P.L. Vescoz Verrayes with visit and concert
  • Overnight stay in Verrayes: accommodation in 1-star hotels, b&b and chambres d’hôtes (for a fee)
  • For those participating on Saturday only: 5.30 pm transfer to Châtillon

SUNDAY 7 MAY (Verrayes – Saint-Denis – Châtillon)

  • Departure from Verrayes:
  • 8.30 am: people who have stayed overnight in Verrayes and made the stage on Saturday
  • 9.15 am: people coming from Châtillon with the shuttle who only make the stop on Sunday (meeting point at 8.15 am in the Castello Gamba di Châtillon car park (Via Italo Mus)
  • Cultural visits en route: St Michael Chapel and village of Marseiller, Cly Castle
  • Lunch: at 1.00 pm in Saint-Denis, with take-away lunch purchase at the Epicerie of Saint-Denis (€10.00)
  • Concert and Visit Castle of Cly: between 1.00 pm and 2.30/3.00 pm guided tour of the castle and concert of Conservatoire de la Vallée d’Aoste
  • Arrival in Châtillon: 5.00 pm/5.30pm

A weekend to discover the stage 8 of the Cammino Balteo with return on the Rû Marseiller and the Via Francigena, among churches, chapels, castles, villages and panoramic points that embrace the entire central valley and two free concerts in the splendid settings of Saint-Evence and the castle of Cly!

ITINERARY:

  • Saturday 6 May: Torgnon - Colle Saint-Pantaléon - Saint-Denis - Verrayes;
    length: 11.7km; altitude difference 355 m (ascent) 785 m (descent)
  • Sunday 7 May: Verrayes - Saint-Denis - Châtillon;
    length: 10.5km; altitude difference: 70 m (ascent) 520 m (descent)

WHAT YOU WILL SEE/VISIT:

  • Saturday 6 May: Saint-Evence chapel (Colle Saint-Pantaléon), Arboretum Abbé P.L. Vescoz
  • Sunday 7 May: St Michael’s chapel and Marseiller village (Verrayes), Cly castle

WHAT YOU WILL LISTEN

  • Saturday 6 May: concert Choir G directed by Carlo Pavese
  • Sunday 7 May: Conservatoire de la Vallée d’Aoste concert

THE PROPOSAL INCLUDES:

  • accompaniment along the route with a hiking and naturalistic guide (€ 20.00 per person per day)
  • free guided visits to extraordinarily open sites
  • free concerts at Saint-Evence and at Cly Castle
  • lunch at La locanda di Lavesé € 25,00 (Saturday 6 May) and takeaway at Épicerie di Saint-Denis € 10,00 (Sunday 7 May)
  • luggage transport and transfer services: free
  • overnight stay in Verrayes at local accommodation facilities

PLEASE NOTE: experience with limited places and reservation required. Precedence is granted to those who book the two days with an overnight stay.
