il castello Sarriod de la Tour di Saint-Pierre ospita la conferenza "La conquista mafiosa del Belpaese e dell’Europa: fra inconsapevolezza e indifferenza", organizzata dall'Osservatorio regionale sulla legalità e criminalità organizzata e di tipo mafioso istituito presso il Consiglio Valle, in collaborazione con il Comune di Saint-Pierre.

Sarà l'occasione, grazie alla presenza di autorevoli esperti, per parlare dell'espansione delle mafie nel contesto italiano ed europeo, mettendo in luce la preoccupante passività con cui questo fenomeno viene affrontato.

L'evento, moderato dalla giornalista Rai Francesca Jaccod, sarà aperto dal Presidente del Consiglio Valle, Alberto Bertin, e dal Sindaco di Saint-Pierre, Andrea Barmaz. Seguiranno gli interventi di Enzo Ciconte, storico delle mafie e componente del Comitato tecnico dell’Osservatorio regionale antimafia, che offrirà una prospettiva storica sulle dinamiche di infiltrazione mafiosa; di Pierpaolo Romani, Coordinatore nazionale di Avviso Pubblico, che tratterà del ruolo delle amministrazioni locali nella lotta contro le mafie; di Joselle Dagnes, professoressa associata di sociologia economica presso l'Università di Torino, che analizzerà il fenomeno dal punto di vista sociologico.

La conferenza - evidenzia il Presidente Alberto Bertin - rappresenta un'importante occasione per riflettere sulle dinamiche mafiose e sul ruolo che la consapevolezza collettiva e l'attivismo civile oltre che politico possono giocare nel contrasto alla criminalità organizzata.

Inoltre, per i partecipanti all'evento, è prevista la possibilità di effettuare una visita guidata del castello Sarriod de la Tour con inizio alle ore 17. Non è necessaria la prenotazione.

Si ricorda di non parcheggiare lungo la strada statale 26 di fronte al castello, ma di utilizzare il parcheggio dedicato all'interno dell'abitato di Saint-Pierre (a 200 mt dall'ingresso).
