Martedì 6 agosto ore 17 al Rifugio delle Marmotte, presentazione del romanzo poliziesco Ru Mort, con l’autore Silvio Giono-Calvetto. 

Dalla Valle d'Aosta all'America Latina: i proventi di “Ru Mort” andranno all’operazione Mato Grosso, movimento di volontariato a favore dei poveri dell’America Latina. che gestisce anche il rifugio.

L'autore

Nato a Torino nel 1959, medico anestesista rianimatore, ha lavorato 33 anni nel servizio sanitario della Valle d'Aosta (rianimatore ospedale e poi 118, direttore distretto, funzionario regionale), per poi trasferirsi in Sicilia a occuparsi di cure palliative, attualmente in pensione. Esperienze di volontariato con l'Opera Trasporto Ammalati a Lourdes e con l’Operazione Mato Grosso in Perù. Questo è il suo terzo romanzo thriller ambientato in Valle d'Aosta e con protagonista un medico di medicina generale con una carriera a Roma nella Polizia Scientifica.

La trama

Quando uno stimato medico viene ucciso sulla porta di casa, pochi giorni dopo aver detto al dottor Francesco Manzilli di volergli parlare, questi, già operatore della Polizia scientifica a Roma, si sente personalmente coinvolto nel cercare di capire cosa sia successo. Anche perché l’oncologo lavorava all’ospedale di Aosta e stava indagando sull’aumento di tumori infantili proprio nella zona di St. Germain la Doire. Mentre Francesco segue le tracce lasciate dalla vittima per verificare se è vero che molti terreni della zona siano inquinati, un veterinario sospeso per corruzione si suicida e si riparla di un misterioso incidente di montagna dove è morto un tecnico dell’ARPA. Ma nel frattempo si occupa anche delle indagini della simpatica giornalista Marie Chaberge su un giro di scommesse clandestine legate alla tradizionale Bataille des Reines. Intanto Elisa, la sua fidanzata hacker ha iniziato un corso da sommelier e lui si prende carico di Valentina, la ragazza romana che potrebbe essere sua figlia e di Paolo, il figlio adolescente di una sua paziente morta per tumore.
