Friday 26 July, at the amphitheater of the “Tzanté de Bouva” green area of ​​Fénis, from 8.30 pm:
At 8.30 pm conference on topics closely related to the historical period represented held by teachers and historians.
At the end of the conference, refreshments will be offered to those present.
Saturday 27 July, green area adjacent to "Tzanté de Bouva"
08.00 opening of activities: setting up shooting and exercise ranges, setting up military camps and typical medieval craft activities, welcoming the first guests;
2.00 pm, welcome of the guest groups and official opening of the FESTIVAL.
2.30 pm, the HERALD, after the ritual pleasantries with the welcome guests, will coordinate the parade (route to be defined) up to the gates of the castle where, with the acclamation of the guests, he will invite the lord of Fénis, Aimone of Challant and the his wife Fiorina Provana di Leinì to follow the procession along the streets of the village to reach the green area Tsantì de Bouva, where a splendid day awaits them in their honor.
3.30 pm the Herald will begin the entertainment, with performances by the various groups, ballets, musicians, duels, drums, clarions and flag-wavers, who will cheer up the lords and his court as well as all the visitors.
4.30 pm, the Herald, by shooting the first arrow, will begin the dispute for the conquest of the "Medieval Archery Trophy", a competition in which numerous archers combined with the groups present will compete for them;
5.00 pm, in a space dedicated to them, the "III CIRO Drum Tournament" will take place, dedicated to the memory of OTTOLENGHI Ciro, co-founder of the Association who for years impersonated the lord of Fènis;
5.30 pm, the "Equestrian Tournament" will resume, which will take place with the maximum participation of n. 8 horses managed and cared for by the owners.
6.30 pm, the Herald, accompanied by his faithful Town Crier, will officially present the groups present to the lords of Fénis, an opportunity to exchange a small gift as a sign of thanks;
7.30 pm, guests will go to the tensile structure where dinner will await them which will be animated by various performances.
during dinner the tournament awards will be given;
1*)    9.30 pm, return to the parade in the area below the castle;
2*)     10.00 pm, theatrical show with fire games presented against the magnificent scenographic backdrop of the castle.
3*)    11.00 pm, by the light of torches the gentlemen will be accompanied back to the gates of the castle where they will greet the guests and make an appointment for the next edition.

13th Biennial Tournament “Le Cors dou Heralt”, a historical re-enactment of a historical and cultural nature

The event takes place at the foot of the splendid Fénis castle, in the green area below the castle and will attract numerous historical groups from all over northern Italy. The intent of the organizing group is to catalyze attention for a day on the medieval life that took place around the castle. By proposing the classic parade through the village of a parade in epochal costume with the participation of about 350 characters.

  • tournament for drum groups

Dinner with musicians, dances and a show of juggling with fire, the now classic parade with torches that will bring the Lords of Fénis from the village to their residence in the castle will be the closing hinge to the activities.

Organized and promoted by the Historical Group of Fénis, in collaboration with the local Pro Loco and with the patronage of the Department of Culture and Education of the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta and the Municipality of Fénis.
