Robert Doisneau
The exhibition, dedicated to one of the most famous and popular masters of photography of the twentieth century features more than one hundred black and white photographs from the collection of the Atelier Robert Doisneau in Montrouge.
Robert Doisneau has been photographing Paris since the 1930s.
The exhibition offers a look at the suburbs and popular neighborhoods but also on the most iconic places of the French capital. The images of men, women and children are taken with the complicity of chance or through a meticulous construction, in any case arousing tenderness, empathy, mild emotions in the viewer.
Among the works on display Le Baiser de l’Hôtel de Ville, Paris, 1950, an iconic image, one of the most reproduced in the world, in which the author was able to capture a magical moment.
