George Brassens - The Mystery of the Tarantellas
Contact
A show/concert by Livio Viano and Amandine Delclos,
paying tribute to the great French singer-songwriter Georges Brassens, a master of essentiality, able to combine the minimalism of guitar accompaniment with the harsh and unwavering tone of his voice.
Born to a French father and an Italian mother, Brassens carried within him a deeply Mediterranean soul: the performance explores his Italian side, particularly the influence of tarantellas and Southern Italian folk music, which helped shape the artistic sensitivity of the celebrated chansonnier.
The audience will be taken on a musical journey through Italian folk melodies and some masterpieces from Brassens’ repertoire, reinterpreted with passion and originality.
