A window on Paradise

Half-day (morning or afternoon) snowshoe hike in the Cogne valley, accompanied by the Nature Guides of the NaturAlp group.

In the morning the itinerary starts from the hamlet Gimillan (1800 mt. above sea level) then reaches the panoramic plateau Cretetta, a splendid balcony with a great view of the Gran Paradiso the only all Italian 4000 mt. peak of the Aosta Valley.

The exposure to the South makes it one of sunniest and most appreciated itineraries during the long and cold winters.

In the afternoon the itinerary starts from hamlet Valnontey, situated 3 km from the main village Cogne and continues along the itinerary that leads to the hearth of the Gran Paradiso National Park and reaches the characteristic hamlet of Valmianaz, a handful of houses from where you can enjoy a splendid view of the Gran Paradiso mountain range.

This snowshoe hike offers you the opportunity to enjoy breath taking views, but also to meet chamois and ibex, and other animals living in the Park.
