The Sort Park Rangers' Hut

Discover the Aosta Valley at a leisurely pace, amid history, nature, peace, solitude, forests, and snow-capped peaks.

Full-day hike in Gran Paradiso National Park along the old hunting trails once used by the king during his hunting expeditions. Everything is white, snow covers the landscape, and you climb up to Casotto di Sort, now an observation post for local park rangers. A beautiful hike surrounded by nature and wildlife, with the extraordinary backdrop of the Rhemes Notre Dame valley.

• Time of the hike: 5,30 hours round trip
• Hight difference: 567 metres
• Difficulty: E (for hikers)
• Number of participants: minimum 5, maximum 10 persons.
• Necessary clothing and equipment: warm, layered clothing, GORETEX trekking boots, après-ski shoes sorel type (no moon boot). Rucksack with packed lunch, gloves, caps, sunglasses.
