Departure in the larch forest along the Petit-Monde torrent passing through the beautiful hamlet of Étirol. Ascent in the middle of the snow-covered mountain pastures of Torgnon, with Punta Tsan in the background. Arriving at the small sanctuary of Gilliarey offers us an exceptional view of the Matterhorn and the Valtournenche mountains!
Elevation gain: about 580 m
Level of difficulty: (E) intermediate (good fitness, previous snowshoeing experience), 5 to 6 hours walk
Other useful information: Trekking boots or winter boots, windstopper jacket and a down jacket, snow pants, gloves, beanie, a minimum 25l. backpack, sunglasses, sun cream, some water + snacks, the picnic lunch. (TRANSCEIVER, PROBE AND SHOVEL won’t be provided but you must have them)
