Requiem for a glacier

At 10.00 a.m.: Meeting at the car park in Staffal and walk to the springs of Torrent Lys along path number 7. This hike takes about 2 hours.

At 12.30 a.m.: Commemoration
- “I motivi dell’iniziativa” (The reasons of this event) by Vanda Bonardo, president of the association Alpi Legambiente
- “La situazione dal punto di vista scientifico” (The situation from a scientific point of view) by Michel Isabellon, Arpa Aosta
- “Buoni propositi da parte dei presenti” (Resolutions by the participants)
- “Musica per il ghiacciaio” (Music for the glacier) by Martin Mayes, an alphorn player.
- “Veglia con racconti dei bei tempi passati” (Tales from the good ancient times) by Davide Camisasca, photographer and mountain guide, who knows Monte Rosa’s glaciers very well.

At 3.30 p.m.: return to Staffal

If the weather is bad, this event will take place in Gressoney-La-Trinité’s town hall.
